His story - ‎ ‎“Luis was born on the 3rd of October 2019. About 11 days after his birth, testing revealed that he is a homozygous F508 patient. Cystic Fibrosis was in our family, as we had already gone through the pain of losing a cousin at 12 years of age for this disease. Below is Alana’s story - ‎ ‎"Alana was born on May 19, 2019, in the city of Alfenas, Minas Gerais. We performed the heel prick test at 15 days of age, and confirmed for cystic fibrosis at 1 month of life. ‎ ‎In June of 2022 there was a new hospitalization in Alfenas for 15 days, with treatment of intravenous antibiotic. ‎ ‎Alana is now 6 years old, follows the same therapies listed above, but has great difficulty in coughing up lung secretions." ‎ ‎438 RespirTech and @baxter_
