Facebook Memory – September 16, 2022 CF Vests Worldwide has sent 31 Cystic Fibrosis vests to Brazil. Manuela was the sixteenth person to receive a vest in that country.

Manuela was born in 2017 and had had to undergo sugery the 5 days after due to meconium ileus –that was the first time my husband and I ever heard about Cystic Fibrosis. She was firmly diagnosed about 20 days after the surgery.
Manuela is our only child and we’re dedicated into providing her with the best conditions to live a normal life. We have strong adherence to her daily treatment and our hope is, by the time she is a young adult, next-generation CF medicine will be broadly available.
Manuela is monitored by physicians since birth and go through frequent appointments every year to ensure she is progressing as expected.
On a regular day, Manuela will undergo two physical therapist sessions for her lung function (inhalations plus exercises)
